Renovation Cape Cod

The Project worked on today took my Hubby and a family friend to complete, and all day! But the smaller windows are gone and there is a bigger window for above the kitchen sink!!! Woo Hoo!
Above: Here is our Shack before.

Above: Inside view of the kitchen windows.

Above: A big hole in my house...Ahhh!
Above: Ta Da! New Window! It looks a bit small but after shutters, tall lanscape and a window flower box are added it will be much better. Not to mention how much more light it gives off in the kitchen.
Above: Inside View! ;)
{So while the guys were doing that today, I pulled weeds}

Above: I started new seeds today.
***When I went away for a week my husband had been spraying STARCH on them. How a starch bottle looks like my clear water bottle...Who Knows! Anyways...Restarted my seeds today, If I go out of town again I will get a plant sitter! LOL ;)

Above: More! I stole a piece of wood from my hubby to make a table top in the garage.
Above: Also something I had been working on is this massive mound of weeds in the front yard! Still am not done but I dont have much to go!

Above: Looks much better. Cant wait to plant stuff! Woo Hoo!

Above: I know you are not supposed to cover these things up but it is so hideous...Any ideas?
Thanks for looking! I am getting too ancy! I cant wait until all the fun stuff comes! Like paint colors, lighting, and picking out flooring! ;) Until then I think I will keep working outside, and on my tan too!
Have a great night all!

Your home is going to look fabulous when you get done with it. I love reading your updates! Too funny about the starch, sounds like something my husband would do.

Everything is really coming along well!! As far as the gas thing. We have a small ornamental grass in front of ours. My neighbor has hostas in front of hers and I think that those look nice too.

Ashley - it's beautiful! You're gonna love it once you get that kitchen all done and you can look out the window while you prep the dishes for the wash. We have a window right above our sink and I wouldn't change it for the world! I started my canna bulbs there this year, and we get so much warm natural light through it - they're absolutely a must-have in any kitchen. :) GREAT JOB to the hubs and the friend! Perfect!

Good progress. I have a ton of weeding to do. It keeps raining on my off days. Need the rain, but would like a little sun so I could get my yard work done.

Just checking in with you - still love the transformation of this space! Adding that larger window is really gonna make all the difference when it comes to the planning. :) GREAT JOB!

Things are moving along! I would plant something in front of the meter like salvia that will grow nice and tall and disguise it!

Your home is so going to ROCK! All the hard work is going to pay off and you will be so happy!
I agree a nice plant that will grow tall and loose - to disquise the meter.

Hey from Oklahoma! I'm a new reader and L.O.V.E. the pics on your blog. Oh for a CapeCod to renovate! It's going to be fab! I also suggest ornamental grass to cover the meter, but be sure to get a perennial!
